Akzo Nobel is a leading and globally active producer of custom-manufactured polymerization catalysts. Our products find widespread use in Ziegler-Natta polymerization of olefins to produce polymers such as polyethylene and polypropylene.
We also offer a complete range of organic peroxide, azo (N-N) and C-C initiator product lines being used in free-radical polymerization processes.

The Deventer site, located in the Netherlands, is an important manufacturing site for organic peroxides and other specialty chemicals. This now includes lab- and commercial scale production of custom-manufactured (metal-)organic compounds, ligands, metallocenes, single-site catalysts and other specialty chemicals. Our expertise and facilities finds growing use in the synthesis of catalysts and specialty chemicals that are used in polyolefin, elastomer, pharmaceutical, and fine chemical industries.
