Amersfoort, the Netherlands - Effective May 1st, 2008, or as contracts allow, Akzo Nobel Polymer Chemicals will implement a price increase ranging from 10% to 30%, depending on the formulation, on its complete range of thermoset accelerators and auxiliaries.

This price increase – effective for all customers in Europe, the Middle East, India and Africa – is necessary to offset the recent higher costs of raw materials, especially cobalt and phlegmatizers.

Accelerators and auxiliary materials are used with organic peroxides in thermoset resin curing applications.
